Don Carmelos Pizza

Love Don Carmelo‘s! Great food, Great service!

My family was treated VERY rudely by the owner of this restaurant. The issue was that we brought a competitor‘s gluten-free pizza with us (2 of us have Celiac disease and when we called we were told Don Carmelo‘s does not have a gluten free menu). We were the only people in the restaurant, but he appeared out of the blue and yelled at us - never approached us and said they have xyz policy, never asked why we brought it, etc. It was COMPLETELY unprofessional. I called to make a complaint, and Tony (the owner) is a yeller. I kept having to stop him and ask him to calm down and talk to me. He didn‘t care to know our story, only ranted about how much he hates the competitor, how inconsiderate we were, how many hours he works. I explained that because of our disease we very often bring one restaurant‘s food into another restaurant and have NEVER been treated that way, but he didn‘t care and refused to admit any fault. This business will never see another penny from us.

The pizza is very good here. They also have delicious calzones and the best cheese steak hoagies in town. Very family friendly and fast service.

Best pizza in omaha. Love, love, love their calzones and antipasto salad. Try their white chicken combo or the New York Finest - always delicious!
