Terrible...waitress and bartenders are terrible.

Iit could be a nice place if the right people knew how to train their workers. I just don‘t think the owners or managers even care if anyone gets good service. I think you have to go in there with the mind set, your there to play keno and order your own food and drinks at the bar. Just don‘t expect allot from the staff because they just don‘t care at all about anyone except tips and even then you still don‘t get a thank you.
We have gone in there and just had fun at our own table and just not expecting staff to wait on us and its allot better.

This is one of the worse places i have ever been to. waited way to long for food/drinks. ended up going to the bar myself to get drinks for my table all night. waitress dropped off a menu after waiting 20min and having to ask for it and then never saw her again. confronted another waitress who said shed be back to take the order and never saw her again. moved to another waitresses section where she immediatly gave us great service and apologized all night for the others. this was in december. which we visited every month for the next 4 months. came back in may looking for our favorite waitress to find out she wasn‘t there and were actually told she was fired by a brunette working the bar. i might add how unprofessional that it along with the whole place. service is just as terrible as before, you constantly see waitresses/waiters behind bar just talking, on phones and in the smoking room for long periods of time. a fulltime bartender usually during days is to caught up with what im guessing are her "usuals" and most of the time ignores everyone else at the bar.

Sat at Ralston Keno for 30 mins before anyone came by for our order. We placed our order for drinks and food, 40 mins later we got drinks. Thirty mins after drinks our food came very cold. We have been going to Ralston Keno from time to time service always sucks and food is always very cold. We miss Papio Keno The service was always great and never had these problems.

Yesterday, 2-27-11 2:00pm My wife and I visited Ralston Keno for a bite to eat. We have visited RK close to 40 or 50 times in the past. Most of the time the service ok at best. Our last visit was was beyond terrible and part of our meal got comped. We never ever set out to get a meal comped and I do not ever remembering getting such bad service anywhere ever!!! Well lightning struck again. This time with a different waiter. Much the same story long wait for everything, inattentive and just don‘t give a damn.... 30 min. + to get an order of chicken wings and a bowl of chili.

Service is VERY slow. One waitress in particular can be a real bitch. The place is not wheel chair friendly, so I use a cane and do the best I can. She complained about where I sat my cane!! Another time, we were waiting to give our order, but the same waitress was busy talking to another customer about buying a gun? Is this even legal in a Keno parlor?

How does this place have indoor smoking? I read the Nebraska law and it does not allow it anywhere indoors except cigar stores. It smelled very bad throughout the building. Any answers out there?

Food was very good but took a long time. Service was not that good. Had to look for my waitress several times. Had to go to the bar and get my own menu. Atmosphere was good. Overall it was just a average experience. I like keno so I will go back. Just hope the service is better.

i come here all the time & i am getting sick of employees always smoking and never around!!! i ordered food & of course it was wrong cause the waitress was an idiot!! If you go there alot the staff gets use to ya & tips so don‘t tip for bad service like me , I am done!!! Next time nothing,nothing worse then paying for bad service & getting home & food wronf too !

My wife & I were in town again for a couple weeks on business a trip. I am originally from St. Louis, Mo. Words can‘t even explain how excellent the service is, especially the cafe day shift. The service is very fast, and the food is very affordable & is to die for. I have had many business lunches at Ralston Keno & even though I don‘t play much, I can‘t say for my wife though..... I have been a winner with many business lunch meetings. We have went to alot of restaurants in the Omaha area from other business trips, & believe you, me....it took atleast 30 to 40 minutes just to get a table! Then maybe 40 minutes just to get your food. We have eaten at Ralston Keno almost every night we are in Omaha & the service is fast. I am very blessed that I can get my food in 30 minutes. We always have a great time there it is definitely an awesome down home environment. Keep up the great work Ralston Keno, you guys rock!

What are you people NUTS. We sat in the resturant part and we had to ask our waitress to come back as we were still looking over the menu. The waitress was friendly and efficient.
The food was great and more than I could eat. If we waited 5 minutes for the food that was alot. ASll you no sayers should try again as our trip was GREAT. Sorry to say keno was not kind. lol

We went here while visiting Omaha from the west coast recently and had an absolutely wonderful time! Didn‘t win much money but spent the evening with several regulars and enjoyed the company, cocktails and food...I will definitely make this a destination "must do" on my next visit to Omaha. We weren‘t in any hurry so didn‘t notice the slow service mentioned in other reviews...

if you like to play keno this is a good place to go.
if you want fast service this is not the place to go.
you will wait about 15 to 20 minutes for a waitress.
your drinks and food will be about 30 minutes .
food will be good if you can handle the wait time.
prices are reasonable .
the bartender is rude and your drinks cost more at the bar than if you are at a table . about a dollar more .
the waitress is friendly , to her freinds , and will talk for long periods of time before getting to your table .
like i said keno is great , service is not .

The food is priced right and is above average for bar food. The staff is friendly and very down to earth. The people saying they are rude are expecting the service you get at a 5 star resturant--this is not that, it is a keno parlor. The drinks are cheap, and the bar staff is always extremely busy whenever I have been in there. People need to be a little patiant, enjoy a drink, play some keno, your food will get there. In time I think that the management will work out the bugs of opening a brand new location including food and the once cocktail waitresses will learn to be full service waitress. Give them crap, they give it right back--my kind of place, and unless your kids are old enough to go to a bar, be a better parent and take them to an appropriate venue for children--not a gambling establishment for adults.

I don‘t know who said the food was awful because I found it to be excellent and priced very reasonably. Not to mention the soft drinks are free!!! Whoever said those comments must work for Big Red keno!!!

My sister and I tried the place tonight. We won‘t be going back -- ever. We arrived at 720pm. We waited until 730pm before a waitress came over and asked if we wanted menus. It was another 10 minutes before she took our order. We waited 30 minutes for our appetizers. They were merely lukewarm, rather than hot like they should be. It was another 15 minutes before we saw our dinner. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger. The burger was dry, not juicy, and the bottom bun was soggy, like it had been sitting too long. We asked for the check and waited another 10 minutes. The bill was $24.24. We left $24.25. The waitress was a snot, never checked to see how we were doing, barely even paid us any attention. As I said, we won‘t be going back and will not recommend it to anyone. We‘ll be going to Big Red Keno from now on.

the bar employees are the rudest you will ever come across. they have never been taught or know good customer service. The only thing they care about are the tips. They will talk about the customers right in front of everyone. The day time staffi are the worst. The smoke is so awful you will smell for weeks when you leave.

maybe you should avoid bringing your family to a place wit smoking, drinking, and gambling. Obiously theres a reason why the age to gamble is 19. Go to big red wit your family and enjoy the payouts!

Don‘t bother going if you have a family. Because they won‘t let you be there. I will just take my family to hang out at the big red keno.

the food is excellent and of a good value bar area tends to be pretty smokey
