Marleybone Tavern

Nice neighborhood bar. Good Drink specials. Summers can entertain outside on the patio which is beautiful. The help is friendly and the food is pub fare that is hard to be out done. The regulars are amusing at best and pretty much harmless their bantering has a certain old skool low-brow vibe. They are silly to stupid (not annoying or overwhelming unlike other places) at times but it is just talk for they are not stupid people they just love having fun. As does anyone there. St. Pat‘s can‘t be beat and the have the best Corned Beef Sand. in town on that day.

This is a good weekend starter and nice enough to stay the entire evening.

I love this place. Relaxed, friendly and maybe the best burger in Omaha. Outstanding. The fact that they are smoke-free is just a bonus. Highly recommend and encourage others to support them.

An expedited smoking ban does not make a boring bar with a classless owner any more fun.

If it did... this place may approach AVERAGE at best.

Way to take the choice out of OTHER bar-owners‘ hands.

If you are not a Nazi, I would HIGHLY recommend keeping away from this place.

However, if you ARE a fool who has sympathy for a whiny bar owner, this is the place for YOU!

The reason the playing field was not even was the fact that HUG‘s bar SUCKS. Smoking had nothing to do with it, and now... it has nothing to do with ANYTHING. The fact that she spearheaded the race to get a BS law enforced a YEAR EARLY to make an excuse for her lackluster income is inexcusable.

I will go to this bar just because the owner is responsible for making Omaha entirely smoke free! The healthy people of the world thank you and expect service from me and my husband!!!!!

I hope the owner is happy for overturing the smoking exemption at Keno places and Horsemans Park...If she thinks her business will increase she is crazy because I am going to organize a boycott against the Marleybone because she had a case of sour grapes!!!

I went there in January of 2008 for a friend‘s birthday and it was great... very homey... I will visit there again... and the staff there was also great... thanks everyone I had a blast...

Went to the Marleybone for the first time yesterday, which happened to be on the occasion of the 24th Annual Pisces Party. Dave Barger, Jerry and their buds were playing, which was excellent. Good Irish Tavern atmosphere, with a little down home hippie (Marley) thrown in for good measure. Good sized bar, yet homey. Nice smoking patio in the back - the garden beds will be nice a little later in the year. The food was excellent and very well-priced for the portions and quality. The staff was super and made me feel like an old friend, regardless that it was my first time in. The only slight knock would be the volume, which seemed a tad louder than need be and made it difficult to talk with friends - though, with the way the bar is basically two rooms, plus with the patio out back, I kind of understand why the volume is cranked a bit. Overall, I very much enjoyed the visit and will do it again if the opportunity arises. Thanks, Marleybone & Staff, for making the day a good one.
