Bar/Club
Unmarked and hidden away just across the bridge in downtown Omaha is the Goofyfoot Lodge. Unless you know what you are looking for chances are good you probably wouldn't notice it since there is no sign at all saying Goofyfoot, just a wide strip of polished metal across the top and a small amount of light coming through the windows. Being south of the bridge there aren't any other clubs or bars next to it, just the dark Western Heritage Museum at night.
The inside is very unique with its tin ceilings, large fireplace, and mix of comfortable couches, chairs, and candles scattered through out the club. There are two different rooms in the place, and two levels in the main room making it very easy to find an out of the way place to sit and talk with your friends without having to worry about others constantly pushing through to get to the bar. Being set away from the other clubs things are much more layed back, and its unmarked entrance makes for less of a crowd.

I have been to the Goofy Foot many times and in general think it is a good bar. They have eclectic music, an interesting interior, and their prices are usually within reason on drinks. Unfortunately there are landmines in the drink list that are price gouging. A single shot of Eagle Rare ($25 to $28 bottle of Bourbon) cost me $10.50, almost half of the retail price of the bottle. I assumed it was a mistake so I told the bartender the retail price of the bottle. She directed me to who I believe to be the owner. He told me I was wrong the bottle is much more expensive, 10.50 is the correct price and this was a bar not a liquor store. The place is interesting, but only order things you know the price of, because you may get gouged for your ignorance. Personally I am done spending my money there.

Enjoyed goofy foot last weekend. Very laid back with cool music. Will be back this weekend. The bartender was proficient and friendly.

Awesome. I drive in from Lincoln to go here. Saturday night DJs are top-notch. Indi-remixes, etc. Cool crowd. Kind of a snowboard/colorado feel, which explains "goofyfoot". Karaoke Wednesday has huge music collection. Thursdays, I‘ve seen some great live underground music. Go here, duh!

The owner is married now and his new wife is very cool.
I am not from the mid-west and this is the only joint i have found that i like, here. i bring all my dates here or just sit a read a book or talk to whomever is nearby. also do all my birthdays here. i can dress to the nines or not.
the shitty staff they had a while back has been replaced with some cool cats!
