Bushwackers

I visited a friend in Omaha a couple years ago and we went to Bushwackers; he use to go there a lot when he lived there before. We love to c/w dance together and were looking forward to a wonderful night of dancing! The band they had that nite was hard to dance to and one of the band members was more focused on walking around the dance floor with his guitar flirting with the girls. (He wasn‘t even good looking!) Was not impressed. Of course, maybe I‘m just use to REAL country bars with REAL country bands who can keep a beat!

went in the door, paid 5$ cover for three people. They had almost no business, & the place smelled of urine. We sat at a table & the waitress looked at us & never offered a drink. We asked for the cover back as we were leaving since we had not been given service. The man at the door, (manager?) said no way, we paid the cover no refunds. Will never consider going there again.

I like Bushwackers for the most part. However, I don‘t understand charging a cover when there is no band. What are we covering? I know people who don‘t go because of the cover when there is a band. I also agree that something needs to be done to bring in more customers. I never hear any advertising on the radio or any promotions of any kind.

So much fun. I started going there 3 years ago and didn‘t know how to two step. People were so nice to showed me and now I can do all the dances!! It‘s a great place to go that is not full of drunks.

The ladies need more men to dance with though. Men....we need you!!

We‘ve tried other places. We always come back with a greater appreciation of Bushwacker‘s. The people we meet there, the attitude of the place, the venue (real country), the sound system, the dance floor and the really cool bar make Bushwackers the best. It‘d be great if Dave would get the pool cues fixed and some different beers for sale.

As a younger country fan, I can say that this bar is great.......great music, great bartenders and great atmosphere for anyone who doesn‘t need the meat market type bar. I highly suggest Thursday night line dance lessons.....they are way fun and drinks are cheap for ladies on Fridays!!!

Love this place! It‘s a classy country bar. Dance lessons are tons of fun . Great place to dance, not too crowded. People are nice

Just started going to this bar a week or so ago and loved it. Sure, the crowd is older but it‘s still a great atmosphere. It‘s clean and they play good music. Drinks are pricey but that‘s my only complaint. I will keep going back!

it takes forever to get a drink! The bands that are playing there are terrible! I used to go there all the time but over the past few years the music has gotten worse, the service even worse than the music and the place is filled with old fogies that take up the whole dance floor and get mad if you don‘t do a two step to every song. I have tried to go over the past few months and this last weekend was the PBR official party and although it was busy the band was boring, and karaoke at best and the service was terrible!!!!

This isn‘t a fun country bar. Unless your 80. No wonder they call it the "Wrinkle Ranch". Unless your a regular you won‘t feel at home. Everyone stares at you. This place is only for wheelchairs,canes, and walkers.

Best country Bar in Omaha! Great atmosphere and staff. Its a real make yourself at home bar!!!!

High ratings will promote and boost Bushwackers attendance. Low ratings hurt, so vote hi!!!

Been going there since before the new owner. His first manager and he I would have to say really did a disservice to the existing business. The Bookkeeper manager as he called himself really killed a lot of the business. The guy they have as manager now is the most unfriendly, unpleasant front person that they could pick. I have been there (owned 2) and I tell you what. These guys don‘t know what they are doing. He needs to lease that place out to someone that knows what their doing. And the money that is left on the table is unreal. You cannot get a drink in there. They have a bar back that is not allowed to grab a bottle of beer for you. They may have 2 bartenders if there is a rodeo in town otherwise you could bring your own and they wouldn‘t even know. The wait staff comes back every 20-30 minutes. If you are standing, it‘s get your own!! The good thing is nice dance floor but the crowd keeps getting smaller and smaller. Nice employees would help and a completely different marketing program. Takes some money to make money BOYS!!

IT all depends on the nite you are there.. coming from a out of towner that is a very long time custermer of the place I have seen nites that it is very good... good band good crowd ect... the staff for the most part does well... country dancing is not what it use to be a few yrs back... its slowed down... alot.

The place is as good as any that you will find... for a lot of points it is better... not many places will you find a wood floor.. im not too big on the changes that have been made.. but in all they work.. the floor is bigger then it was but the place has one less dance floor then it had... more floor by the band now..

not many have a bar like they do... it really is something just to go see it.. hand carved n very old.. very nice...

worse than worse...hateful wait staff..plays favor to regulars..not recommended if you want to enjoy your evening!

We just went & had a great time. If you are into wall to wall people, having to yell at your friends to be heard, not being able to dance due to an over crowded dance floor- then, no, this isn‘t the place for you. There was a very good live band, 5$ cover, good drink prices, very attentive wait staff, several pool tables (all in great shape) & a nice dance floor with plenty of room for everyone to dance. We really like the place & definitely recommend it to those not looking for a place to dance that‘s not a blaringly loud meat market

Since the new owner took over a few years ago the place has went down hill. I think if there was a ladies nights he would get more poeple / men to come to the saloon to dance. I think the changes are needed to bring the place back to the top of country music status. This also might bring in more people to support the band, if he can get one to play. He really needs more people to support the place.

I have been the this Saloon many times and I can tell you that most of what was said IS NOT TRUE. Sure they have country music, the dance floor is smaller after they renovated it, staff is ok but not great. I sat waiting for a bar maid a few nights and never had anyone come by to see if I needed anything seems they were more interested in what was going on around the bar area instead of what few customers they did have. The friends they refer to must be the people who go there every night cause thats a bunch of crap too. Now it seems they have closed off half of the place the area where they had pool tables is now closed off and they are now charging more for admission even when there is NO band playing.

Bushwackers is the BEST and ONLY place to be for country music and dancing.
